The top organic result for this query is not an article. It is an r/hyrox thread asking for Pro-weight sled push shoe recommendations, which tells you the settled answer does not exist. Inside it, racers running the same plated PUMA Nitros report opposite outcomes: the original poster calls them "generally decent shoes", then turns against them, a second agrees after two gym turfs, a third writes "I love my nitros for Hyrox, never had a problem with sleds and slipping (pro)". Other answers name several other shoes.

The rulebook says less about footwear than most racers assume. Section 10 sets the only requirement: closed-toe shoes throughout, with wall balls as the single stated exception. Section 10.1 lists the permitted extras, from knee sleeves to hydration packs, and closes with "any item not explicitly listed as permitted is, by default, prohibited".
